SCHOLARSHIP SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Applicant must be legally related to a graduate of Calhoun High
School not currently serving on 2009 selection committee. Relationship includes son, daughter, grandchild, great grandchild, niece, nephew or cousin, up to third generation. Legally adopted stepchildren are eligible. Documentation must be provided to prove legal relationship.
2. Applicant must be a senior with a 3.0 cumulative grade point
average or better in a public or private school, with plans to attend a Louisiana college or university in the summer or fall after graduation.
NOTE: High school seniors who meets other requirements, and attends an accredited public or private school outside Louisiana, but in U.S., and agrees to enroll for freshman year in Louisiana college/university will be given same consideration as a student attending a Louisiana high school and meeting other criteria.
3. Applicant must agree to maintain 2.5 GPA or better, and register and complete at least 12 semester hours (full time status).
4. Application must be postmarked no later than November 15 of his/her senior year. Winner will be notified by phone by within 3 days. Follow-
up confirmation will be sent via mail to mailing address provided.
5. Cashier's check for $500 will be sent to Office of Financial Aid at the Louisiana university chosen by the applicant, based on college application, after confirmation that applicant has been accepted by this college/university.
